Mom's Ceviche

This recipe is for the Latin food loving spice sensitive person in your life. The combination of savory and sweet is amazing. It's a crowd favorite for sure. This recipe is enough for dinner for 4-6 people or snacks for a party.


2 cups frozen precooked peeled shrimp (take the tails off)

1/2 cantaloupe diced small

1 cup fresh lime juice

1 bunch cilantro chopped

1 red onion diced small

salt to taste


  1. Add the frozen shrimp to warm water to thaw

  2. Chop up the cantaloupe, onion and cilantro and place in a large bowl. Add the lime juice to the same bowl. When the shrimp are thawed add them to the bowl. Add salt to taste. Let sit overnight for best flavors.

  3. Serve with chips for scooping the deliciousness into your mouth.
