This is a website about recipes made on my Instagram account. My intention with starting this is to get more people to realize how easy cooking great food at home is. I received a lot of positive feedback from starting to post the food I was making during #quarantine2020 and so I created this web page to post the recipes that I make on Instagram for more clear instructions and more precise measurements. I use 99% ingredients that are easy to find in any grocery store so that the food I make can be easily replicated no matter where someone is located.  I think homemade meals are the key to being healthier in our modern, overly processed society. So check out what I enjoy making and cook or bake along with me!

I try to start with easily accessible raw ingredients to create something amazing and nutritious. Not everything I make is some fancy dish and I do use some things that are already processed, although I try to limit my intake of processed foods. I have found that making my own food from raw ingredients has allowed me to feel more in control of my health and happiness. I thoroughly enjoy cooking everyday but I don't always have time to make super elaborate meals. The majority of what I make are meals that can be done in 45 minutes or less and are great for leftovers/ multiple meals.

I have been on a journey for several years to be able to understand the food industry and social norms regarding how we consume food. I came to realize that we do not think about what we put into our most valuable asset-our bodies. We consume overly processed food that often times is lacking crucial nutrients that our body needs. We often times ignore the origin of our meat and fruits or vegetables for the convenience of something ready to eat. If we don't know where our food is coming from or the process it goes through to come to your table how can you really know what you're putting into your body? If you would like to educate yourself you should watch the show Cooked on Netflix which features renown food scientist Michael Pollan.

For parts of my life I have eaten vegan and for other parts I have eaten like the average person. One of my passions is making healthier versions of my favorite junk food. Sometimes that means making dairy free cream of mushroom soup for making the best green bean casserole I have ever had. Other times it looks more like alternative cheese crisps to satisfy my salty cheesy cravings. All of these recipes I will be sharing as I come up with them or create them. If you have a request for something you would like me to make just let me know in the about section.

I hope if you are visiting my page that you are looking for a source of easy, healthier food and find inspiration to create nutritious and delicious food for yourself.
